YourBrain2 reads your documents with your own API key. Two settings in your provider account keep them out of model training. Here is every click, with pictures.

YourBrain2 reads your documents through the AI provider’s API with your own key. OpenAI says it does not train its models on API data unless you opt in. Make sure you did not opt in, and switch off the logs you do not need:
Then create your API key in API keys inside that same project and paste it into YourBrain2 > Settings > AI models. Note: for safety, OpenAI may keep API data for up to 30 days to detect abuse, then deletes it. This is OpenAI’s rule, not ours.
These settings are for the ChatGPT website and app. They do not change the API key above, but if you paste documents into ChatGPT yourself, set them too.
Screens change from time to time. If yours look different, look for the same words: Data controls, Sharing, Improve the model.
YourBrain2 never sends your documents to us. They go only to the AI provider you choose, with your key. Read the provider’s own terms; they decide what happens there.
The key you create after these settings is the one you paste into YourBrain2 > Settings > AI models.
